  2.           SKIDMARKS EXTRA INFO   (NOTE: THIS IS VERSION 1.06!)

  5.    To play simply click on the SkidMarks icon in the previous window (close
  6.  this window first!). For two machines click on the connect icon, if the
  7.  handshake succeeds the game will load on both machines.
  8.    To play via modem enter the phone number in the phone book (hit return)
  9.  and then click on the dial gadget to the left. Use Answer gadget if someone
  10.  is calling you. Type your salutations to each other then click on Connect.
  11.    Modems faster than 2400 are a worry. Speed is not the question for smooth
  12.  fast online play, modem repsonse time is. Therefore if you are faster than
  13.  2400 you will need to read your modem user manual and work out an init
  14.  string that will disable all MMP and other error correction. Ask on your
  15.  local BBS if you need help. Even with error correction off on my Xyxel
  16.  (using AT&K0) I still can't get it to not transfer in fits and bursts,
  17.  so I use a $40 2400 modem.
  18.    Don't forget to register your copy of SkidMarks with Acid Software so you
  19.  will be eligible for program updates, new track disks and even more cars.
